In this class students will learn how to:
-Conduct thorough, oncology specific intake assessments.
-Create individualized massage plans based on clinical information.
-Apply gentle, adaptive techniques that prioritize safety and comfort.
-Communicate effectively with clients, caregivers, and healthcare teams.
-Integrate oncology massage principles into diverse practice environments.
Please Note: This class is primarily lecture based however, we recommend having a volunteer present with you to practice on for the hands on part of the class. This will take place during the last hour; otherwise a body pillow can be substituted for a live person.
